For Reid's senior thesis she decided to write a play (her first play ever) about an elderly man with Alzheimer's. The result: One Day in the Life of Henri Shnuffle had a two-week run off-off Broadway in the Bowery in NYC. Reid and her newly created theater company, Sprat Artistic Ensemble, changed the Loomstate space into the makings of an elderly man's apartment. Small audiences were able to come through and watch what one day in the life was like for Henri Shnuffle and his cat Existentialisme.
On Reid's graduation day, she went to her graduation ceremony in the morning, then, at dinner that evening, before the show, she got an email on her phone. The New York Times had reviewed One Day in the Life of Henri Shnuffle. Positively! You can read the NYTimes article here. A life-changing review, for a young, newly-graduated artist.
