Sprat Classes

After being commissioned to write and create Henri at the Smith Center for Performing Arts, Reid wanted a continued presence for the local Las Vegas community through Sprat Classes.

Sprat Classes are art and theater workshops offered in partnership with Core Academy to seniors and teens in the Las Vegas Valley. In 2017, Core Academy was awarded the Outside Agency Grant for a third year in a row to support the Sprat Classes programming. In 2018, Sprat Classes was awarded the Vitality Arts Grant in collaboration with Neon Museum to create and host workshops at the museum. All workshops are developed and facilitated by Sprat teaching artists on the subjects of performance, poetry and visual art.

Classes focus on inter-generational interaction, connection and communication.
